Tenerife Resorts - Vilaflor

Vilaflor is a small village in the centre of the southern part of Tenerife, about 15 miles from Tenerife South Airport, and a similar distance from Playa de las Americas.
The village is on the edge of various Natural Parks, and within easy reach of Mount Tiede and the National Park. It is the highest of any village on the Island, with an elevation of 1,400 metres.
There are just a few hotels, and only simple amenities outside of the hotels. However, walkers will delight in the protected areas and the Pine forests. This would make a totally different holiday than a beach holiday, but having said that, Playa de las Americas with all its attractions is only a short distance away via the TF1 motorway.
The popularity of the Tiede National Park is bringing more visitors to the town. For hikers and walkers, Vilaflor would make a perfect holiday base.
