Tenerife Resorts - Costa de Silencio

Costa de Silencia, translated as “The Silent Coast”, is only 8 miles from Tenerife South Airport, and less than 8 miles east of Playa de las Americas. The resort is adjacent to Las Galletas, and it will not be long before the two simply merge together. The resort is quiet and relaxing, and one of the very first tourist resorts on Tenerife, going back to the early 1960’s.
The resort is purpose built, and caters mainly for couples and families who are looking for a holiday at competitive prices. There are lots of hotels, and attractive apartments, many with lovely sea views.
Getting around is easy. Las Galletas is within easy walking distance, and there is a good bus service to Playa de las Americas. Costa de Silencio does not have a beach. This does not present a problem, as there are beaches within walking distance at Las Galletas..
There are excellent cliff walks in the area and coves where sea swimming is possible. If doing this, remember to take great care with children.
Surfing, snorkelling and other and water sports are popular activities. There are several diving clubs in the area, and several golf courses within a few minutes drive. Boating and fishing trips are another popular activity. The Waterpark and other attractions of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos are a short drive, or a bus ride, away.
There is a good selection of bars and restaurants in Costa de Silencio and in Las Galletas.
There is little nightlife, but this is available in Playa de las Americas, just a 15 minute taxi ride away. There you will find everything you need.
Costa de Silencio remains a very popular location, as it a perfect location to enjoy for itself, or as a base to visit other nearby resorts. It is impossible to be bored in Costa de Silencio.
