Tenerife Resorts - Costa Adeje

Wednesday, 11th November 2009

Costa Adeje is a purpose built, up market tourist centre, less than 2 miles from Playa de las Americas. The resort is very modern and contains a large number of gorgeous four and five star hotels, and a number of de-luxe spa hotels. Playa de las America is a five minute trip by taxi; there is also a regular bus service. It is perfectly possible to walk between the two resorts. Also close by are Puerto Colon, Playa Del Duque, La Pinta and La Caleta.

The resort has the dramatic back drop of the Mount Tiede Volcano.  On the sea front, there are beautiful views out to sea.

The resort has attracted stars and celebrities. Many top ranking singers have performed here, or are due to perform, at the Golf Costa Adeje, including Rod Stewart and Sir Elton John. Many well known personalities stay in Costa Adeje. Their favourite places include the Melia Bahia Del Duque Hotel, a beautiful 5 star hotel. Book this hotel through us, and you never know who you might meet in the elevator.

The resort has become extremely popular, both in its own right, and also because of its ideal location. There are several beaches, made up of naturally shiny volcanic sand. If visitors prefer man made golden sandy beaches, they are only 5 minutes away. The best beach in the area is the San Eugenio, which technically is really part of the inland village of San Eugenio Alto.

There is also a world renowned golf course on hand, which has featured many top players .Water sports available are top class. Scuba diving in particular is excellent. All kinds of boat trips available, as well as fishing trips. Whale and Dolphin watching boat trips are very popular.

Visitors to Costa Adeje are really spoiled for choice when it comes to attractions to visit. The newest attraction is the recently opened Siam Park, a highly impressive water park. The wide range of attractions available at Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos, including Loro Park, Octopus Aquapark, Eagle Park and the Camel Park are all within a short drive. A day trip to the old town of Adeje, two miles inland, is worth a visit, as is “Hell’s Gorge”, the deepest ravine in the Canary Islands.

Costa Adeje has an  excellent choice of restaurants, serving a wide variety of food.  A short walk to the harbour at Puerto Colon will bring another selection of restaurants, many specialising in sea food.

Nightlife is far more sophisticated than in Playa de las Americas, with lots of bars and lounges. Visitors looking for a night clubbing will head off to Playa de las Americas.

Visitors to Costa Adeje can both enjoy the splendid resort without venturing far, or using it as a 4 star base, and explore the other nearby resorts, or a mixture of the two.
